Who Alexa is
Alexa is such a fun person and brings positive vibes into any group that she is in. I cannot imagine how my school life would have been without Alexa. Not just for me, our class would have never been the same without her.
Ask other classmates of mine what comes into their mind first about Alexa and you will hear “smile” and “laughing.” Yes, Alexa is always smiling and laughing. If you do not see either of them from her, you had better ask her “what’s wrong?”
I still remember the day that I met Alexa for the first time. I really felt like talking to her because she stood out and was recognizable with her fun personality in a classroom. I have shared the moment with Alexa and she also remembered the moment that we started chatting. She reacts each sentence that you say with a, “Hmm”, ”Haha” or something like that. It sounds natural and easy and she always adds something funny as a conclusion. That is her added value. Alexa is like the sun for us; she smiles all the time and at the same time, she makes people around her smile.
I am a big fan of the way Alexa gets along with others. She makes friends by jumping inside of you like water infiltrating a sponge. What you have between you and Alexa is a true and strong friendship, hands held tightly from the bottom of both her heart and yours.
Alexa is not just fun and bright, by the way. She is as thoughtful as she is positive. She loves her own country Mexico and stands by her friends. We have shared what our life dreams are with each other. I am pretty sure that Alexa will change the world, starting with Mexico, because that is her dream. I know she will accomplish the goal that she has envisioned for herself.
Alexa’s birthday and my birthday are in May, so we decided to hold a co-birthday party for both of us. The decision making was very quick once both of us figured out our birthdays are in the same month. It took for 10 seconds for us to say, “Did you know that our birthdays are in May?” “Really!? Do you want to hold a birthday party for us?” “Yeah, let’s do that!” “!!(High Five)” Of course, we included both our names in the title of the party.
While Alexa was treating guests and leading them to another place for an “after party,” I was chatting with other guests, even though I was obviously supposed to do the same as Alexa did, so Alexa came to me, saying “Keisuke! We are the team! We need to hold hands and help each other!!”
“Birthdays” are always special for you, but it was a great birthday party because Alexa and I celebrated each of our birthdays with other.
The Power of MSE
What Alexa is holding is a symbol called “go-en(ご縁)”, which means ‘fate’, ’destiny’ and ’special tie.’
I believe that it is meant to be that we met in San Francisco! I studied Social Entrepreneurship with Alexa for a year, saying “We will make the world a better place.” I would love to spend the rest of my life with MSEs (Master of Social Entrepreneurship; my classmates) until the very day I die. They have already completely changed my life.
At the same time, however, I also think that we should not be together all the time, because that is not the reason why we learned Social Entrepreneurship. That is not how we will deliver the impact we want to give to society and to the world.
I think MSEs are like dandelions. We were seeded at the first day at Hult and we bloomed on our graduation day. Our mission is that we spread all over the world like dandelions and seed the future, the next generation, from each place where each of us has landed.
本当にありがとう(Honto ni Arigato-); Thank you very very much for everything!! The world needs you! Let’s make the world a better place together!!
